Here Are The Top New Years Eve Tips You Need To Know

Purchase event tickets in advance

The prices will go up the closer to NYE. Every bar and club in the city is going to have some kind of cover. Many venues offer drink specials and celebrity performances. On an event as big as New Year’s Eve, especially after quarantine, things are bound to get crazy on and off the strip. Save yourself the headache of rushing & herding your party and book a club crawl. We highly recommend LA Epic as they are hands down our favorite Las Vegas New Year’s Eve club crawl. Their stunning staff whisks you from high-end lounges to the hottest nightclubs in town. A night in Vegas is never predictable, but with LA Epic’s NYE Crawl, you can count on making friends with other party-goers and dancing the night away in style. No one to smooch at midnight? Who knows; you just might meet your match on the crawl! Purchase your tickets here, and choose your own adventure. With performances by The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Black Coffee, and Lil Jon, the Las Vegas New Years’ Eve Club Crawl of 2021 will be one for the books.

Book your dinner reservations ahead of time

Home to some of the best restaurants in the country, if you want to grab a bite before the celebrations make sure you set your reservations ahead of time. To handle the crowds, most restaurants will require a reservation. In addition to reservations, restaurants may be offering a preset menu including drink packages and may include live entertainment. The last thing we would want is for you to get turned away at the door and go hungry into 2022.

Plan your NYE outfits

In Vegas, we always dress to impress. New Year’s Eve is the chance to make your year’s last impressions on style. Do not let the Vegas summers trick you into thinking our winters are the same. Vegas does get cold! Consider bringing a jacket, but make sure it’s within the dress code of where you are going. Check out our Las Vegas New Years Eve Dress Code Blog for more information on what to wear as well as not to wear.

Prepare for closures

Although parts of Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed, this year will not be the normal strip closures you may be used to. Closures should be in place by 8 pm and be business as usual at 6 am. If you’re going downtown, the closures will affect traffic at Fourth Street and Casino Center in the Art District. Interstate 15 off-ramps at the Frank Sinatra, Flamingo Road, and Tropicana Ave exits will be closed as well. Eastbound lanes will be blocked at Valley View, Industrial, Tropicana, and Flamingo. Traffic will also be blocked off between Reno Avenue, just south of the Tropicana, all the way to Spring Mountain Road.

Staying out on the Strip?

If you are planning on staying outside to enjoy the firework displays on the strip, especially the Bellagio fountains. You will want to be on the strip and in your spot by 7 pm, 8 pm at the latest. The festivities on the streets start early, so make sure you account for the crowds. Do not forget your jacket, it is going to be chilly!

Know your laws

Regarding those open containers, New Year’s Eve has a strict no coolers or glass on The Strip. Don’t drink and drive! Even though there are designated pick-up and drop-off spots, the Monorail, RTC, Taxis, or other Rideshare options will be going all night. The last thing you are going to want to wake up next to is a cellmate. The local bus system, RTC, is offering free rides to all until after the ball drops at midnight. With 39 different routes from 6 pm to 9 am, you can indulge the night away without putting yourself in the driver’s seat. If you are looking to keep yourself and your party of hammers humans in a more private setting there are taxi and rideshare options as well.

Drink plenty of water!

It is easy to forget when spellbound by the Las Vegas lights, but it is a desert. Especially on a night where the alcohol is flowing and it is easy to lose track of how much you have consumed, your future self will thank you! No one wants to be the person wheeled out of the party due to dehydration.

New Years in Las Vegas is truly a spectacle that puts the rest of the year’s parties to shame. By doing just a little pre-planning you will save you and your friends the headache of not knowing where you are staying, how you are getting in, if you can eat, freezing in the cold, and waiting on those dreaded lines.
