There are a lot of attractions and distractions in Las Vegas. But for the crawler in you, the number one reason to go to Sin City is because of the nightlife.

In a nutshell, it’s awesome. Vegas has 2,000+ person nightclubs with world-famous DJs that also feature cool rooms off to the side and even swimming pools, fun and casual bars where you can rip out your inhibitions, dueling piano bars and casino lounges that are some of the best places to party.

So if you’re wondering what to do or where to go, don’t sweat it because Las Vegas veterans at PubClub.com have put together this guide to the secrets of nightlife in Las Vegas.

GETTING PAST THE VELVET ROPES AT LAS VEGAS CLUBS

Walk up to any club in Vegas and you will be greeted by a confusing entrance with velvet ropes, well-dressed bouncers and people standing in different lines. Figuring out which line to get into is your first challenge. Getting past those velvet ropes an into the club is the second one.

The easiest way to sidestep this scene is to be a hot girl. Be dressed in a short skirt and hang around the front of the lines. A doorman may approach you and ask to hang out at a table with a bunch of guys who want pretty girls around them.

If you are not a hot girl and want to get in, then get out your wallet. Arrive at 10 p.m., and approach a bouncer. Or, you can stand in line and hope for the best. Don’t hesitate to go up to the bouncer and ask him which line you can stand in; they are all very friendly and may take a liking to you if you are nice and polite.

Or you can take the VIP cards from one of those people handing them out on the Las Vegas streets. But know this:

  • People with the VIP lists work with specific clubs. So if you want to go, say, Hakkasan, you need to get with someone who has that list.
  • The people with the VIP lists are fine, reputable people who are just doing their job. So there’s no need to back away from them or not trust them.
  • Even tho you are on one of these VIP lists, it does not always guarantee you will get into the club. This is because several people have VIP lists with the clubs. It does, however, make it easier than trying to do it yourself.

One surefire way to get into a nightclub, that’s also cost-efficient, is to go on a Las Vegas Club Crawl with our friends at LA Epic. With one ticket, you can visit up to 4 of the hottest Las Vegas bars and nightclubs in a single night. We all know how expensive drinks can get, especially on the Las Vegas strip… which is exactly why LA Epic’s club crawls start off with a bar that offers insane drink specials– pregaming made easy for you and your group!

WANT A CLUB EXPERIENCE WITHOUT GOING TO A CLUB?

If you don’t want to deal with the lines but still want a Vegas nightclub experience, then to go a casino lounge. Many have bands, a DJ, dance music and fun people partying all around you. There are no lines, no cover charges, VIP entrances or guests lists. Plus, they are free! This is often a much better place to meet people than in the big and noisy clubs. The best casino bar nightclub is Eyecandy in Mandalay Bay.

For those who want to party in the daytime – where the dress code is bikinis and board shorts – then check out the pool parties. Top ones include Encore at Wynn, Tao Beach and Marquee in the Cosmopolitan. A less “clubby” pool party is at the Hilton Flamingo.

Like the clubs, there are often big lines and big cover charges to get into the pool parties. Here’s one tip: If you really want to go to a particular pool party, stay at that hotel. Your room key will usually get you entry.

CHAMPAGNE BRUNCHES

Get your partying started early – well, after Noon, anyway – by going to one of the many weekend brunches, most of which have a package that includes bottomless mimosas.

Every Vegas hotel has a brunch and the prices are in the $50 range so it doesn’t really matter which one you pick.

DRINKING ON THE STRIP

Drinks to go, yes! Vegas is one of the few cities in America where you can drink in the street. You can get a drink to go from a bar or take down a beer or cocktail from your room. Do not, however, take that drinks into a bar.
