The 4th of July just wouldn’t be complete without fireworks. AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl Stadium has some of the best 4th of July fireworks in Los Angeles. Before the fireworks begin, you can spend hours wandering the kid-friendly carnival and watching an in-stadium show. At 9 pm, the fireworks start. Parking at the stadium is $45, but you can also see the fireworks show from other areas nearby.

For a family-friendly event, head to Freedom Fest at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena. The event sponsored by Freedom City Church has everything imaginable for a fun 4th of July. Wander the kids’ carnival, take a turn on the oversized jumper, or play in the paintball park. There will also be live music, food vendors, giveaways, and a fireworks show. Tickets are available at the door or in advance for $10.
